Jaipur History :- Jaipur was founded by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II thereby the name. Its probably the first planned city of India. Jaipur has been the capital of erstwhile Jaipur estate since its inception in 1727 AD. The city of Jaipur is the prime example of the culturals and traditions of this region. In this land towerind forts were built as much for ostentation as for intimidating the enemy; and desperate battles were fought by rulers who were great patrons of the arts. Among all the states of erstwhile princelyIndia, Rajputana is undoubtedly the one with the most martial record - warring factions locked in deadly warfare, thousands of royal ladies consigning themselves to flames preferring death to dishonor.
Climate of Jaipur is extreme hot in summers. The summers have a maximum temperature of 40 degree C and minimum is 25.8 C. In late June come the monsoon which provides great relief. It is preceded by dust and thunderstorms while the post-monsoon season in September is followed by another hot spell. The best months to visit jaipur are from October to February.
