Chittaurgarh Excursion Rajasthan Nagri One of the oldest towns in Rajasthan, Nagri is 17 kms north of Chittaurgarh. Hindu and Buddhist remains from the Mouryan to the Gupta periods have been found here.
Deogarh is 125 km away from Chittaurgarh. A 16th century fort situated near Pratapgarh. Its famous for Palaces and Jain Temples. Bijapur Bijapur is 40 km away from Chittaurgarh. Its famous for its Castle built by Rao Shakti Singh the youngest brother of Maharana Pratap Singh. Now castle is converted in to a hotel. Bassi Wildlife Sanctuary (50 km) 50 sq. kms sanctuary near Bassi, supports a population of
panthers, wild boars, antelopes, mongoose and migratory birds. Prior permission
has to be obtained from the district forest officer, Chittaurgarh before
visiting the sanctuary. Sanwariyaji Temple (40 km) Situated on Chittor - Udaipur road. It is modern temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and is an important pilgrimage spot for Hindus Bassi Village (25 km): Enroute Bundi is a marvelous village with historical forts, temples and kunds. Especially famous are its sculptures and woodcraft. A place of great tourist interest.
