Ajmer district is located in the center of Rajasthan state between 26°58 north latitudes and 75°22 east longitudes. the districts is triangular in shape. The district is endowed with a large number of non metallic minerals e.g. garnet, mica, asbestos and beryl emerald. Ajmer is the most sacred of all muslims places of pilgrimage in India. Ajmer is famous for the Dargah of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Millions of pilgrims from all over the world throng ajmer to attend the death anniversary of the great saint every year.
